The Keith Corporation (TKC) has finalized the sale of a 735,560-square-foot, build-to-suit distribution facility leased to Crate & Barrel in Catawba County, NC. The transaction marks a significant milestone — not just in the firm’s ongoing industrial development activity, but in a partnership over two decades in the making.

The project was born out of Crate & Barrel’s need to expand from their previous location in Lincoln County — a facility also previously owned and developed by TKC. “This was our third project with Crate & Barrel over the last 20+ years,” said Alan Lewis, Managing Partner of Industrial Development at The Keith Corp. “Helping them grow into a new, customized facility was the logical next chapter in a very trusted relationship.”

Located in a strategic corridor near regional suppliers and transportation networks, the site made logistical and operational sense for the retailer, which has deep ties to the local supply chain ecosystem in Catawba County.

TKC still maintains a presence in the industrial park with another asset leased to Room & Board. “This transaction validates the strength of the submarket and the continued health of Charlotte’s industrial sector,” Lewis added. “We believe in this market long-term and remain committed owners in the area.”

This transaction not only strengthens TKC's legacy in the Carolinas industrial market, but also reflects the trust built over decades of delivering tailored solutions for nationally recognized tenants.
