Alan Marshall

Alan Marshall has 38 years of experience in the retail sector of Commercial Real Estate. His skill sets include anchor tenant leasing and representation, landlord leasing, construction management, and property management for a broad range of retail assets. He has completed over 70 ground up & retrofit deals for Hobby Lobby in NC, SC, VA & MD since 2011. Alan also represents Sneeden Management, Inc. of Wilmington NC, and Selwyn Fair, LLC of Charlotte for landlord leasing and sales and provides brokerage and consulting services for other clients.

Prior to joining The Keith Corporation in 2011, he successfully worked with some of the area's top retail development and brokerage firms including Crosland Retail, Grubb & Ellis Bissell Patrick, Clear Springs Development & Hill Partners. During this time, he gained broad experience in retail leasing, sales, property management, site acquisition and analysis, reverse and traditional built-to-suits, multi-site disposition, as well as market analysis and tenant programming of shopping centers, single tenant assets and master planned developments. 

While representing shopping center owners from Northwest Ohio to the Brickell district of Miami, FL, he transacted sales, leases, build-to-suits, and ground leases with Alltel Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Ashley Furniture, Lowes Foods, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Bank of America, McDonald's, Hickory Tavern, Wild Wing Cafe, Arizona Steakhouse, and numerous national, regional, and privately owned retailers and restaurants. 

Alan has been a member of ICSC since 1994, actively volunteers with ICSC's Global Public Policy division on Capitol Hill, supports ICSC's PAC, is a dedicated supporter of Higher Call Ministries (Retail Christian Network) and is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors. Alan was appointed to serve Grubb & Ellis' National Retail Council from 1998 to 2000. From 2019 to 2011, he chaired the Government Relations Committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for both North and South Carolina.

A Wilmington, North Carolina native, Alan graduated from St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC with a B.A. in Philosophy. He enjoys organic gardening with his wife, Dana, and loves fishing, hunting, golf, reading history, and hiking with Briscoe, their hound-shepherd rescue.
