Chase Morten joined The Keith Corporation (TKC) as a member of the Brokerage & Development Team in 2016. Mr. Morten specializes in establishing key relationships with retailers, tenants and other build-to-suit prospects. Thus, he is involved with site identification, selection and acquisition, lease negotiation and build-to-suit development. He is licensed in both North and South Carolina; and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Prior to joining TKC, Mr. Morten was a direct sales professional at The Tom James Company. Working in the Carolina’s market afforded him the unique opportunity to both build a personal business of over 250 clients, as well as sell over $1 million dollars worth of custom clothing in three years, all while attaining “President’s Club” (by hitting a significant record in Charlotte, NC) and “Rookie of the Year”.
Mr. Morten’s entrepreneurial spirit and appreciation for quality service stems from 12 decades of his family’s linage in the furniture business, specifically Basset Furniture.
He is also a graduate of Clemson University, where he graduated in the top 10 percentile of his class, summa cum laude. Mr. Morten holds a dual Bachelors degree in Marketing and Communication Studies. During his term, Mr. Morten was an active member of Beta Gamma Sigma and IPTAY, where he held the position as Student Liaison to the Athletic Department at Clemson.
As a result of his leadership involvements, Mr. Morten continues to be an active participant in the Charlotte community; participating in non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Challenger Baseball. He is also currently a member of The Good Fellows Club and the Clemson Alumni Association Charlotte.
