Chip Verner

Division Manager, TKC Management Services

Chip Verner serves as Division Manager – Education for TKC Management Services, where he oversees facilities operations for the company’s educational clients and supports continued growth in the sector. He works closely with client executive leadership teams and TKC’s on-site managers to develop effective operating models, strengthen facilities teams, and plan for long-term capital needs.

With more than 25 years of facilities management experience, Chip has led the full range of campus operations, including maintenance, custodial and grounds services, security, fleet management, and capital projects. He also holds an MBA and has extensive experience developing and managing complex, multimillion-dollar budgets.

After an honorable discharge from the United States Navy in 2000, Chip began his facilities career at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Over 16 years there, he advanced from maintenance technician to Facilities Services Director, a role he held for seven years, overseeing a campus of more than two million square feet serving approximately 8,000 students. He joined TKC in 2017 to lead operations at The McCallie School before advancing to regional and division-wide leadership.

Chip earned both of his degrees while working at UTC: a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Covenant College and a Master of Business Administration. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, is active in his church, and pursues outdoor interests including cycling, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing.
