Robert C. Combs, PE, MBA
Senior Project Manager
Robert Combs serves as Senior Project Manager and Engineer for the Development Division of The Keith Corporation (TKC). He is responsible for the daily management of development projects, supervision of all phases of the development process, from initial due diligence through project completion. His duties include lease negotiation, preparing development budgets and schedules, directing the efforts of design and construction teams, securing all regulatory approvals, and interacting with clients on a regular basis to ensure successful build-to-suit delivery.
Robert has worked on numerous industrial projects and land platforms located throughout the United States. During his tenure at TKC, he has overseen more than 12 million square feet of development across approximately 3,000 acres. He has worked with a diverse roster of nationally recognized clients, including Amazon, Curtiss-Wright, Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Staples, and Walmart, while collaborating with municipalities and public entities nationwide.
Prior to joining TKC, Robert was a Senior Civil Engineer at WSP I Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the world’s leading planning, engineering, and construction management firms. With experience in engineering design, architecture, construction estimating, and project management, his work included multiple roadway mega projects and site development projects for several DOT’s, Charlotte Area Transit System, and private developers.
Robert obtained his Professional Engineer License in 2012. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte, where he was a McColl Fellowship Recipient, as well as obtaining his Master of Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
He is an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) and a graduate of the Arts & Science Council’s Cultural Leadership Training Program. Upon graduation, he was appointed to the Charlotte Public Art Commission where he served six years. Robert has also been a tutor at Sedgefield Elementary School and active at Myers Park Methodist Church.
